£70 per person (entry fee to be refunded to RHS members)
Our visit to RHS Bridgewater Gardens departs from the Diamond Days normal formula in that lunch is not included within the price. Visitors are free to enjoy a light lunch in the Bridgewater cafe or might consider bringing their own picnic.
RHS Salford is 154 acres which used to be part of the Worsley New Hall estate, with the Bridgewater canal forming the Southern Boundary.
The Gardens are the RHS’ first new garden since it acquired Harlow Carr in 2001, and it is one of Europe’s largest gardening projects.
The estimated cost of the project is £32.7m of which £15.7m of that is its own funds and received a further £12.7m through grants and fund raising and further donations from Salford City Council.
A privately guided group tour will give you an opportunity to see that this sum has been well spent and after the tour there will be sufficient time to explore the gardens or re-visit the best bits.
